How to Get Happy & Healthy

When we think about getting happy, we think of vacation, of "if only" scenarios, of "how can I get away from all this?" Now, when we think about healthy, we first think about weight loss, how good it will feel to fit into those jeans, and then comes the daunting "diets," "eliminating carbs," and working out.


What is crazy about this is that these stay as thoughts and we tend to never do anything about it!!!

Now, before you say, "Easy for you to say," Know that I used to work as a receptionist years ago, I used to be immobile and acquired that office body, I used to feel so unhappy and lethargic and... wait for it... I used to do NOTHING about it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Isn’t it kind of mind blowing that we decide stay in that unhappy state while knowing we are unhappy, and it’s just taxing on our health-mentally and physically?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Think about this: most of us are unhappy at work 8am-5pm 5 days a week. That is: 8 hours a day⁣⁣ 40 hours a week⁣⁣ 160 hours a month ⁣⁣ 2,080 hours a year⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ THAT’S 87 DAYS OUT OF THE YEAR⁣⁣, which is approximately 3 MONTHS OF THE YEAR. ⁣⁣ That is 25% of the year. How freakin insane is that?! And, that’s not even taking into consideration what happens outside the time of work. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So, how do we change things up?⁣⁣! How do we take control of our life? Well, what I did that really helped was that decided:⁣⁣ ⁣ - To move more! Exercising and moving the body creates a psychological change and rush of endorphins that make us FEEL good⁣⁣. Who wouldn't want to continue to FEEL good? ⁣ - Eat a little better. Let's face it, burritos 5 days a week and pizza 4 days a week with a side of green apple licorice only satisfied my tastebuds and satisfied NOTHING else. ⁣⁣In fact, my waist line and energy levels were suffering because of it. ⁣ - Practiced Positive Daily Affirmations. Celebrating the person that I am and wanted to be, daily, helped get my mind into a positive space and more importantly, stay that way. ⁣⁣ ⁣ - Got a coach- I’m wasn’t surrounded by people who wanted to get healthier or happier. So, I had to learn how to grow and develop my own habits to get and keep a positive mindset. The only way to do that with full support was a coach. ⁣ ⁣⁣
