You only have an hour a day to dedicate to fitness. You’re eating as clean as you can, but does it sometimes feel like you can’t possibly do anything more to burn more calories?!
It's as if you have it a plateau, and there is that thought of, “What more can I do to get to where I want to be? Should I work out more?... But I don’t have time.”
I have some good news for you! You don't necessarily have to spend more time in the gym or working out in order to lose weight! There are different things you can actually do throughout the day, while you're working or relaxing, that will help you torch some extra calories.
Here are 5 different ways to zap some more calories during your day:
Get your workout done early in the AM to kickstart that metabolism going When you get that workout done at the beginning of the day, versus at the end of the day, you're able to actually kickstart you metabolism earlier and burn more calories as you're going about the day.
1 times 10 method At the top of every hour, do something active like 10 squats, pushups or lunges. This can also be used as a mini break for you to refocus and get your blood flowing for better productivity. Also, more movements means more calories burned!
Chew some gum! Yep, chewing gum burns extra calories!
Sit on the floor while you’re watching TV- Sitting on the floor helps you burn more calories because more muscles are needed to support you while you're on the floor. Also, standing up is harder from the floor vs from the couch
Set an alarm to get up every 30 minutes- standing up forces you to use your legs which burns additional calories and also, gets your blood flowing so you can deliver more oxygen throughout your body and feel more energized!
