3 Easy Steps to Wake Up Earlier & Get More Energy


The alarm goes off and all you can think about is the fact that you want to hit snooze just to sleep for another 10 minutes hoping it will help with how tired you feel, but you can't because you'll be late to work. Then, everyday, it's the same cycle over and over again. Now, imagine a morning where you wake up feeling refreshed and hop out of bed ready to go! When we are energized at the beginning of the day, we are more productive, tend to eat healthier, and just feel good overall.


So, how exactly can we have this kind of morning?


Follow these 3 easy steps to wake up early and energized:


1) Go to bed 1 hour earlier.

Just by going to sleep earlier, you can get an extra hour of sleep for the night. You can even wake up earlier and get an extra hour in the day to be more productive in the morning for activities like some light reading or a short workout.


2) Avoid Sugary at Night

Avoiding sugary foods will allow you to fall asleep without waking up regularly in the middle of the night. Interrupted sleep pulls you out of REM (the phase in sleep where you're experiencing deep sleep). Without the right amount of rest, you're not as sharp, you feel lethargic, and your body cannot rest and recover from the previous day. If you're hungry, try a protein base snack instead.


3) Eat a Healthy Breakfast

I've said this before and I will mention it again. Eating a healthy breakfast helps so much with kick starting your morning. Our body is like a car. It needs fuel to function properly and get from point A to point B. In this case, our bodies use food as fuel. So, if we give it premium healthy fuel, it will function at its best and we will start to feel our best. Don't underestimate the power of a healthy breakfast! If you don't have time to actually make breakfast, try having a shake in the morning. Personally, I have a healthy meal shake every morning as it takes me only 3 minutes to blend up, it's filled with vitamins, nutrients, good carbs, protein, and fiber that my body needs for the morning.


Whether your goal is to get more energy or to be able to fit in some exercise time while still feeling amazing throughout your day, these 3 steps will help you experience a more incredible morning everyday.
